The acquisition is a strategic step to expand ELKO Group’s local presence in Finland and brings the company closer to its customers. To date, ELKO has served Finnish customers primarily through cross-border operations from Sweden via Gandalf Distribution AB. With Bat.Power Oy, ELKO gains an on-the-ground organisation and infrastructure to better support local partners with proximity, speed, and dedicated account coverage—an approach consistent with ELKO’s focus on targeted geographic expansion and portfolio development in the Nordics.

Building a broader Nordic portfolio and channel reach
Complementary portfolios and cross-selling: Bat.Power Oy’s strong TV category will add a new dimension to Gandalf Distribution AB’s Nordic assortment, while Gandalf Distribution AB will utilise Bat.Power Oy’s channel to introduce brands already in ELKO/Gandalf Distribution AB’s portfolio to Finnish customers. Bat.Power Oy customers will see a noticeable increase in product range and availability as combined vendor relationships and inventories are leveraged across channels.
Local service with Nordic scale: Bat.Power Oy’s ERP and logistics capabilities—designed for high service levels, drop-ship options, and close retailer integration—will be paired with ELKO/Gandalf Distribution AB’s Nordic vendor network and operational know-how to deliver improved breadth, supply continuity, and execution quality across Finland.
Gradual integration: In line with ELKO’s established M&A practice, Bat.Power Oy will be integrated gradually to ensure stability for employees, customers, and vendors, while systematically realising operational and commercial synergies over time.
