In June, the digital media company Mediatech and 15min Group finalized an investment agreement, under which Mediatech acquired a 22.18% stake in the group's holding company, 4 Bees, becoming a minority shareholder. The transaction received approval from the Competition Council in May.
Founded in Lithuania, Mediatech operates several global media projects, including the internationally recognized platform Cybernews. Mediatech is part of the technology group Tesonet.
In May, Justinas Jarutis also joined as a minority shareholder of 15min Group. He had previously invested in the group's digital health platform Manodaktaras.lt.
The holding company 4 Bees owns 15min Group, which encompasses the news portal 15min.lt, radio stations M1, M1 PLIUS, M1 DANCE, Lietus, Laluna, popular magazines Žmonės, Ji, Legendos, the news agency BNS, and the home cinema platform ŽMONĖS Cinema. Together with partners, 4 Bees also owns the digital health platform Manodaktaras.ltand the subscription platform Prenumerata.lt.
Other shareholders of 4 Bees include Tomas Balžekas, Martynas Basokas, Gabrielė Burbienė, and Tomas Bindokas.
