As previously announced, Liene Grūtupa was nominated as the new Chief Compliance and Legal Officer and member of Citadele’s Management Board, pending regulatory approval. On 24 June 2025, the confirmation was received from the European Central Bank.
Liene Grūtupa has more than 25-year experience in executive legal and personnel management positions. She joined Citadele banka in 2011 as Head of the Legal Division and, since January 2022, has additionally taken on the role of Head of HR. Her experience combined with significant achievements in strategic planning and process optimization, demonstrates a strong capability to ensure compliance, and drive organizational success. Liene Grūtupa has a law degree from University of Latvia and an MBA from Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration.
