In connection with information published in the media that the State Revenue Service (SRS) has frozen the accounts of AS “Amber Latvijas balzams” (the Company) with credit institutions, the Company informs as follows:
As previously disclosed by the Company, the downturn in the global spirits market, the decline in export orders and other external factors caused significant cash-flow difficulties, which resulted in delayed excise tax payments. Following prolonged negotiations regarding the overdue excise tax liabilities, the SRS froze the Company’s bank accounts.
In order to ensure business continuity and protect the interests of creditors, on 30 January 2026 the Company filed an application for legal protection proceedings (LPP), and on 5 February 2026 the Riga City Court initiated the LPP.
The LPP was terminated voluntarily for the reasons set out in the Company’s earlier announcements, and, in accordance with the court decision, the LPP ended on 9 October 2026. Following the termination of the LPP, creditors may revert to their previous claims, and the SRS has accordingly reinstated the freeze on the Company’s accounts.
The Company is actively assessing and discussing options to ensure the availability of funds critical for its continued operations and to have the account freeze lifted. The Company will inform investors of material developments in accordance with applicable laws and the Exchange rules.
