Following the achievement of a significant milestone for the company, namely the successful delivery of the objectives set out in its medium-term strategy, Sandis Jansons will conclude his role as Chairman of the Management Board of Sadales tīkls AS on 30 September this year. Sandis Jansons has submitted his resignation to the Supervisory Board of Sadales tīkls AS following his decision to continue his professional career at another major Latvian company.
Since 2018, Sandis Jansons has served as Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Sadales tīkls AS. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant growth and successfully implemented major and challenging reforms, developed new services, strengthened the resilience of the electricity distribution network and increased grid capacity availability, while also securing EU funding to support its development.
The Supervisory Board of Sadales tīkls AS has appointed Vīgants Radziņš, a current member of the Management Board and Chief Development Director, as Acting Chairman of the Management Board of Sadales tīkls AS effective from 1 October 2026, until such time as the Supervisory Board of Sadales tīkls AS elects a new member of the Management Board as a result of the public nomination process prescribed by applicable regulation and decides on the appointment of the Chairman of the Management Board of Sadales tīkls AS.
Sadales tīkls AS is the largest electricity distribution system operator in Latvia, operating independently and ensuring the supply of electricity to more than one million customer sites. Its services cover 99% of the country’s territory, and it maintains an electricity network throughout Latvia with a total length of approximately 92,000 kilometers. Latvenergo AS is the sole shareholder of Sadales tīkls AS.
